Day 1 Arrival in Cochin
Your journey begins as you arrive at Cochin Airport or Railway Station. After reaching, check in to your hotel and take some time to freshen up. Later, head out to explore the heritage charm of Cochin. Start with Fort Kochi where you’ll witness the famous Chinese Fishing Nets, visit the historical St. Francis Church, and admire the stunning architecture of Santa Cruz Basilica. Proceed to Mattancherry to explore Jew Town, visit the Dutch Palace, and the Paradesi Synagogue. Wrap up your day with a peaceful walk along Marine Drive and enjoy the sunset views. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cochin.
Post breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin a scenic drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill station nestled in the Western Ghats. En route, stop by the enchanting Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls. You’ll also pass through lush spice plantations that are characteristic of Kerala’s green charm. Upon arrival in Munnar, check in to your hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Today is reserved for exploring the best of Munnar. After breakfast, begin with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, which is home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and offers breathtaking views of the rolling hills. Continue to Mattupetty Dam, where you can enjoy scenic boat rides, and then head to Echo Point known for its natural acoustic effects. Later, visit Kundala Lake, surrounded by misty hills and pine trees. The evening is free for shopping or strolling through the local markets. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady, known for its rich biodiversity and spice plantations. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and refresh. In the afternoon, visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary where you can enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake and spot elephants, deer, and a variety of birds (please pre-book tickets online). Post the boat ride, take a guided tour of a spice plantation to learn about Kerala’s famous spices. In the evening, you may opt to watch a traditional Kathakali dance or Kalaripayattu martial arts show. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey, often referred to as the “Venice of the East” for its stunning backwaters. Upon reaching, check in to your hotel located near the backwaters. In the afternoon, you can opt for a relaxing Shikara or houseboat cruise on Vembanad Lake (at your own cost). Spend the evening at leisure by Alleppey Beach, enjoying the calm Arabian Sea and golden sands. Overnight stay in Alleppey.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Cochin for your onward journey. Your memorable Kerala trip comes to an end with lovely memories of nature, culture, and serenity.

Last day we got bad experience. Our train from ernakulam to Bangalore was at 2.2 (Read More)0pm. He brought us at 11.30 and told that take all your luggages from the vehicle and go to train. We told that keep all the luggages in the vehicle and we will take after returning from market. He has not accepted. We suffered like this, as we don't know anything in the new place. When it is 7 days trip, till evening vehicle shall be with us.
On 08.03.2026, he left us at 3.30 pm at the hotel. In the evening we went to haw (Read More)a beach in a auto. As per schedule padmanabha temple visit was on 8.03.26, but he did not take us. On 09.03.2026 he took to the temple, which took lot of time and reduced our boat house experience. Food & hospitality was very good at manner. It was average at thekkady and samudra Teeram hotel.food was good at boathouse, but water provided is very bad. We could not take bath at house boat.

1. No clarity about the Allepy water way tour inclusion in the house boat. Extra (Read More) payment was taken by a small boat for canal tour through villages, though details were given in the activity list. 2. No proactive guidance by the cab driver.
