Approx. 140 km | 6–7 hrs drive. After breakfast, drive towards Dirang via Tenga Valley. En route, visit the Tipi Orchidarium & Research Centre, home to over 300 species of orchids, and the Nag Mandir at Tenga. Continue through pine-clad hills to Dirang (1,600 m), the gateway to the Monpa heartland. Arrive and check in; evening free at leisure in the valley.

Full day, local sightseeing. Full day exploring Dirang and its surrounding valley. Visit Mandala Top, Dirang Dzong (the historic Monpa fort), Thupsung Dhargyeling Monastery, the Yak Research Centre, and a local apple/kiwi orchard. Drive out to the scenic Sangti Valley, favoured by bird-watchers (winter home to the black-necked crane) and framed by the Sangti river. Optional: soak at the Dirang hot water spring. Overnight again at Dirang.

Approx. 140 km | 6–7 hrs drive. Early breakfast and departure for Tawang, crossing the dramatic Sela Pass (13,700 ft) — weather and road-condition permitting. Stop at Sela / Paradise Lake, often blanketed in snow, and pay respects at the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Arrive Tawang, check in; evening free to acclimatise.

Full day, local sightseeing. Full day at Tawang (10,000 ft), the second-largest Buddhist monastery in the world and seat of the 6th Dalai Lama's birthplace legacy. Visit Tawang Monastery (Galden Namgyal Lhatse), the Tawang War Memorial, Urgelling Monastery, Gyangong Ani Gompa (nunnery), the Giant Buddha statue, and the local craft centre. Optional full-day excursion to Bum La Pass, Sangetsar (Madhuri) Lake, and PT Tso.

Approx. 180 km | 7 hrs drive. After breakfast, retrace the route over Sela Pass towards Bomdila, with a stop at Nuranang Falls or Jaswant Garh if missed earlier. Arrive Bomdila (8,500 ft), headquarters of West Kameng district, set amid apple orchards with views of the Gorichen range. Visit Bomdila Monastery and the craft centre.

Approx. 300–320 km | 9–10 hrs drive (early start recommended). Early breakfast and departure via the quaint hamlet of Shergaon — known for its wood-and-stone Monpa houses, apple orchards, and the ruins of Shergaon Fort. Short halt to explore the village before continuing the long descent through Rupa and Tenga towards the plains. Cross back into Assam continue to Guwahati, arriving by late evening. Check in and overnight at Guwahati.

Tour concludes. Breakfast at the hotel. In time, transfer to Guwahati airport/railway station for your onward journey. Tour ends with fond memories of Arunachal Pradesh.
