Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

You will be picked up and head to Naivasha, arriving in the afternoon in time for lunch.
Activities for the day include:

A boat ride on Lake Naivasha
A walking safari in the animal sanctuary

You will then drive to Lake Nakuru.
Arrive in time to relax at your hotel.
Later, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner.
Your overnight stay will be at your lodge or camp.

Day 2 Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy breakfast before heading out for an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.
Highlights include the presence of hundreds of both black and white rhinos, along with other wildlife.
After the game drive, return to the hotel/lodge to freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, followed by your overnight stay.
Later, drive to Masai Mara.
Between July and October, the Great Rift Valley becomes bustling with activity as millions of zebras and wildebeests make the perilous crossing into Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory, attracting a multitude of predators.
Arrive in time for lunch and take some time to relax after the drive.
At 17:00, you will be picked up from your hotel by Maasai Morans (warriors) who will guide you on a walking safari through the dense Maasai Mara, followed by a cultural tour of some of the ancient communities that still exist.
Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3 More Game Drives

Today's itinerary is flexible; you can discuss with your guide to plan the day's schedule.
You can choose to have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full-day game drives around 7:30 AM with a picnic lunch. This option allows you to visit the Mara River, where the migration occurs during its season. Additionally, you'll have better chances to view wildlife throughout the day and return to the lodge/camp late in the afternoon.
Alternatively, you can depart at 6:00 AM for an early morning game drive. Afterward, return to your accommodation for breakfast and relax until mid-afternoon. Then, at 4:00 PM, depart on an afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge/camp at 6:30 PM for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4 Masai Mara to Nairobi

Depending on your flight details, you will coordinate with your guide regarding your departure from Masai Mara.
You will be transferred to your location in Nairobi or to the airport for your homebound flight.

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Well done İmara Destinations. Thanks to Dennis and Murray for it

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

The entire trip was handled with extreme professionalism by both Janet and our g (Read More)uide Bonnie. We got to see the Big5 within 3 days of our itenary and more on the next days. Janet was very thorough with our itenary and helped us throughout and Bonnie knew all the best spots on all of our game drives. We didn't feel rushed throughout our tour, because it is designed very well to accomodate enough rest. 10/10 recommend

We didn't expect Kenya to be so cold, so at some places we missed warm water for (Read More) wash
