Post temple tour, take an excursion to the •Buddhist town of Sarnath. Buddha came to Sarnath to preach his message of the middle way to nirvana after achieving enlightenment at Bodhgaya and gave his famous first sermon at the Deer Park here in Isipatana. Sarnath contains the most impressive remains, as well as a modern temple. Visit the Mulagandhakuti Vihara, Sarnath Museum, Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhamekh Stupa, Dharmarajika Stupa, and various monasteries. After sightseeing, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Varanasi

The old buildings, ashrams, and palaces along the riverside look as colorful as a rainbow when the sunlight hits them. You will see people bathing, performing rituals, and worshiping the sun—an integral part of Subah-E-Banaras. Start the boat ride from Assi Ghat, going all the way to •Manikarnika Ghat (the largest cremation ground in Banaras), and back to Assi Ghat. This tour combines a boat ride (direct payment) and a walking tour of the southern part of the old city to explore the cultural diversity of Varanasi.
