Day 1 Nairobi - Masai Mara
  • Your safari starts with pick-up at 7:30 AM from your Nairobi hotel or airport, followed by a drive to Masai Mara.
  • A Masai Mara safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya.
  • There are breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a vast range of wildlife including the Big Five, and a rich cultural heritage to explore.
  • Kenya's Masai Mara is undoubtedly one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa.
  • Between July and October, the Great Rift Valley becomes busy as millions of zebras and wildebeests make the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory.
  • In their wake comes a veritable horde of predators, including lions and leopards.
  • At 5:00 PM, you will be picked up from your hotel by Maasai Morans (warriors) who will guide you through a walking safari in the dense Maasai Mara.
  • Later, you will head for a cultural tour of some of the old tribes that still exist.
  • You will return to the lodge/camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
  • Today's itinerary is flexible; you can discuss it with your guide and plan the day's schedule.
  • You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full-day game drives at around 7:30 AM with a picnic lunch. This option allows you to visit the Mara River during migration season, providing better opportunities to view wildlife throughout the day. You will return to the lodge or camp late in the afternoon.
  • Alternatively, you can start with an early morning game drive at 6:00 AM. Afterward, return to your accommodation for breakfast and relax until mid-afternoon.
  • At 4:00 PM, depart on an afternoon game drive. You will return to the lodge or camp for dinner at 6:30 PM and enjoy your overnight stay.
  • Enjoy breakfast before driving to Lake Naivasha.
  • Upon arrival, embark on a boat trip around Lake Naivasha.
  • The boat trip will showcase the highest lake in the Rift Valley, offering magnificent views and sightings of hundreds of bird species.
  • Observe numerous hippo pools from your boat.
  • After the boat trip, proceed to the animal sanctuary for a walking safari.
  • You will be transferred to your Nairobi location or to the airport for your homebound flight.

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Well done İmara Destinations. Thanks to Dennis and Murray for it

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
