Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival - Big Five Adventure

You'll be picked up from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost. You'll be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport at 7.00 am and head southward to the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley. Proceed to Masai Mara arriving at the Enkorok Mara Camp in time for lunch. You will relax after lunch getting ready for an afternoon game drive. All the Big Five; rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant live in this wonderful game reserve. Other animals include zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena and more. The resident birds include the Maasai ostrich, geese, storks, vultures and more. You'll spend the entire evening exploring this magnificent game reserve. After the game drive, you'll return to the camp for your overnight stay.

Day 2 Masai Mara

You'll spend the entire day exploring the park in search of the Big Five. With over 450 species of birds recorded here, there is much to see including rhinos, leopards, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, Jackals, lions, many types of antelopes, crocodiles and giraffes. During the months of July, August and September the reserve is usually filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania). A picnic lunch is served in the park. In the evening, you'll return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3 Masai Mara to Nairobi

Have breakfast at the camp and later checkout. Then you'll depart for Nairobi with lunch en route arriving in Nairobi late in the afternoon. You will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight home.

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

The entire trip was handled with extreme professionalism by both Janet and our g (Read More)uide Bonnie. We got to see the Big5 within 3 days of our itenary and more on the next days. Janet was very thorough with our itenary and helped us throughout and Bonnie knew all the best spots on all of our game drives. We didn't feel rushed throughout our tour, because it is designed very well to accomodate enough rest. 10/10 recommend
