"The Heart of Dixie"

Alabama, USA

Located in the southeastern region of the United States, the state of Alabama is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia in the east, the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi in the west. It is situated right in the middle of what is known as the Bible Belt of the United States. Hence, religion forms a huge part of the local culture, and breathtaking churches like The Church of the Highlands are common.

Alabama also takes pride in its magnificent 32 miles of white sand beaches on the Gulf Coast. Its beautiful cities like Birmingham and Montgomery boast of some of the most delicious home-style food like Pecan Pie and fried okra. The city of Birmingham has a lot of state parks like the Oak Mountain State Park where one can experience a lot of outdoorsy activities like hiking, hunting, and fishing.

One can indulge yourselves in the awe-inspiring DeSoto Waterfalls and scenic Cheaha Mountains. No matter what season one visits or what part of Alabama one is in, there is always an exciting feast to attend within a few kilometres. Small, picturesque towns like Fairhope dot the entire landscape of the state. These towns are dreamy locations perfect for taking Instagram worthy pictures or just sit back and soak in the mesmerizing sights.
