Namdhapa National Park, Yupia Overview

One of the chief natural reserves of Arunachal Pradesh, the Namdhapa National Park lies under the shadows of the snow capped peaks of the Himalayas. It plays home to numerous diversifies flora and fauna.

Snow cats are one of the biggest attractions here. Other important animals found here are Snow leopards, clouded leopards, common leopards, tigers, dholes, wolves, Asiatic black bears, red panda, red fox, elephants, wild boars, deers, langurs and monkeys. Over 425 species of birds have been spotted in this area including Hornbills, Wren-Babblers, parrotbills, fulvettas, Cochoas, owls and Kingfishers. There are a few settlements of Lisu Tribal people within the park as well, however they are mostly located in the Myanmar region of the park.
