Sikar , a beautiful town which is located in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan spreads over 7742 sq km of an area. Sikar is located in the north-eastern part of Rajasthan. It is confined from all the four directions by Jhunjhunu District , Churu District , Nagaur District, Jaipur District and Mahendragarh District .

History of Sikar

Earlier , Sikar was called as â€˜Beer Bhan Ka Bassâ€™. After the death of Daulat Singhâ€™s father Jaswant Singh, the raja of Khandela, Bahadur Singh presented the village to Daulat Singh as a gift. On the raised ground of this village , he laid down the foundation stone of the fort . Later, his brave son Shiv Singh made a beautiful fort on it. Further he was known as the most prominent Rao Raja of Sikar . The village was developed into a beautiful town which was surrounded by a strong boundary wall .
