Augustmuni, Rudra Prayag Overview

Situated on the banks of Mandakini River, Augustyamuni is a town dedicated to one of the most revered teachers in Indian mythology - Rishi Augustya. Augustyamuni is important for the Char Dham yatra as it has a helipad from where helicopter tours of the Char Dham are undertaken.

In the beautiful surroundings of the Himalayas and on the bank of River Mandakini, Augustyamuni appears as a place full of magic and spirituality. The small village town which was built in the ancient ages in the name of the famous Rishi Augustya, who use to have his own gurukul here, is a wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate one 's inner self. The beautiful mountains, the fiercely flowing Mandakini River and the coolness in the air make this place utterly charming in its appearance. The town is a great place to get away from the crowd of other hill stations and immerse yourself in nature.
