The Acropolis of Rhodes dates back to the 5th century. It is an archaeological site that contains some of the most important monuments of ancient Rhodes, like the Temple of Athena Polias & Zeus Polieus and the Temple of Apollo. Unlike other acropolises, this one is not fortified.

Apart from the temples, you will find magnificent infrastructures like the Nymphaeum, Odeion, Stoa Building, Artemission and a stadium. There are also ruins of sanctuaries, public buildings, temples and underground lairs from the Hellenistic era.
