Nagmandir, Pithoragarh Overview
Situated uphill at a distance of 100 km from Pithoragarh, Nag Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Surrounded by thick cover of lush green trees and a picturesque ravine, it offers a splendid view and has a myth attached to it.
As per the story goes, this temple was named by 'Pants' of Maharashtra who witnessed many colourful snakes in the area. One can also see several figures of snake in the temple including the face of temple which is also in the form of snake.
