The Naples Harbour is a small seaport situated along the central coast of Naples and is admirably considered one of the most picturesque harbours. The waterfront alongside the port promenade and pier makes for a perfect recreation and walking destination for locals and tourists alike.
Prior to being this famous spot it was a cosy fishing village and had a port that operated independently from the Naples region. Also, you can buy fresh catch from the fishermen in the region. From the Mergellina pier rises a picturesque green area which is a hilly ledge named Posillipo representing the best of Naples. The historic centre of Naples can be reached on foot from the quay that runs beside the Tyrrhenian Sea.
