Naples Harbour, Naples Overview

The Naples Harbour is a small seaport situated along the central coast of Naples and is admirably considered one of the most picturesque harbours. The waterfront alongside the port promenade and pier makes for a perfect recreation and walking destination for locals and tourists alike.

Prior to being this famous spot it was a cosy fishing village and had a port that operated independently from the Naples region. The promenade Caracciolo is flanked by colourful and vibrant buildings, pizzerias, kiosks offering light snacks and beverages, Neapolitan taverns, ice creams and Panini. Also, you can buy fresh catch from the fishermen in the region. From the Mergellina pier rises a picturesque green area which is a hilly ledge named Posillipo representing the best of Naples. The historic centre of Naples can be reached on foot from the quay that runs beside the Tyrrhenian Sea.
