Mekong Cruise Luang Prabang

Sunset tours - The sunset tours are the most popular among all the trips in the Mekong in Luang Prabang. A boat tour would take you through beautiful villages surrounded by greenery, ancient monuments like pagodas the agriculture of Mekong Island, followed by a cruise past wats, pagodas, and palaces. You can visit fishing villages, observe silk weaving, visit local family homes and experience the country life of Laos in these tours apart from witnessing gorgeous sunsets at the Mekong.

Slow boat tours - There are non-motorized small wooden boats that can be rented for around 4 USD and a speed boat for about 5 USD per hour. These slow boat tours can be taken to commute between the two cities as well, which gives a unique experience in the Mekong River.

The pier is located in the old town of Luang Prabang. You can reach there on foot in about 20 minutes. If you are based outside the city centre, you can get there by renting a tuk-tuk for about 6 to 8 USD per person for a one-way trip that can be shared.
