Wat Chom khao Manilat, Huay Xai Overview
Wat Chom khao Manilat is a large Buddhist temple located in the city of Huay Xai, the capital of Bokeo province in Laos. The temple is situated on a small hill and is known for its brilliant architecture, paintings and splendid views of the town from the top. It is one of the recommended attractions for tourists visiting Huay Xai.
There are stairs decorated with Nagas that lead to the top. A vast courtyard stands in front of the temple, which consists of many stupas and chedis. The congregation hall consists of a big statue of Buddha, which is decorated with jewels. The walls of the building consist of intricately made murals, depicting various mudras of Buddha and his teachings.
