Had an amazing Arunachal Pradesh trip with Tourdeworld! The entire journey felt (Read More)like a dream surrounded by snow-covered mountains, peaceful monasteries, waterfalls, and breathtaking valleys. The itinerary was very well planned, hotels were comfortable, and the transportation was smooth throughout the trip. The team was supportive, polite, and always available whenever needed. Specially loved the scenic beauty of Tawang and the peaceful vibes of the Northeast. Every day felt like a new adventure. Truly one of the most memorable trips of my life. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a perfect mix of nature, adventure, and peace. Humans travel thousands of kilometers and still end up taking the same “mountain pose” photos, but Arunachal somehow makes it worth it.
Overall the experience was excellent. Just a few places had network issues and l (Read More)ong travel hours due to hilly roads, but that’s natural in Arunachal Pradesh and part of the adventure. A little more time at some sightseeing spots would have made the trip even better. Other than that, everything was very well managed.

It was a great experience with Inderoots Travel. The way they planned the journe (Read More)y and selected the places was impressive. I truly loved and enjoyed every moment. It was a luxe trip, and the destinations they chose were absolutely wonderful.
On the first day, the hotel had not been checked for a king-size bed, so I ended (Read More) up with a twin-size bed instead. Since this was my honeymoon trip, it was quite disappointing. I informed the team and requested that they double-confirm the bed type with every hotel going forward to avoid such issues.

Guwahati Travel Essentials

Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Guwahati is from October to April, when temperatures range between 12°C and 28°C, ideal for temple visits, river cruises, and wildlife excursions. Summers (May–June) are warm and humid, while the monsoon (July–September) brings heavy rainfall and swollen rivers, making sightseeing less convenient though the city turns lush and green.

Ideal Duration & Popular Itineraries
Guwahati holidays usually last 2 to 3 days, often serving as the gateway to Kaziranga, Shillong, or Tawang. Popular formats include:
  • 2 Days: Visit Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Island, and enjoy a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra.
  • 3 Days: Adds Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary for rhino spotting and Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra for Assamese culture.

Top Things to Do
  • Visit the revered Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill
  • Take a ferry to Umananda Temple on Peacock Island
  • Go on a Brahmaputra River cruise at sunset or with dinner
  • Explore Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its high density of one-horned rhinos
  • Stroll through Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra for culture, crafts, and performances
  • Shop for Assamese silk, tea, and handicrafts in local markets

Top Destinations Combined with Guwahati
Guwahati packages are often combined with:
  • Kaziranga National Park for safaris and wildlife
  • Shillong for waterfalls, caves, and hill station experiences
  • Tawang as the starting point for an extended Arunachal trip

Why Book a Package for Guwahati
  • Transfers coordinated: Packages provide transport to Kaziranga, Shillong, and Tawang, which involve long road journeys.
  • Temple access simplified: Packages include guided visits to Kamakhya, reducing waiting time and helping with rituals.
  • Cruises and safaris bundled: Brahmaputra cruises and Pobitora safaris are pre-booked for convenience.
  • Hotel availability: Centrally located stays near Paltan Bazar or riverfront areas are secured in advance.
  • Efficient sequencing: Packages plan Guwahati as the entry and exit point, aligning with flights and onward road trips.
