St. Catherine's Church (Sint-Catharinakerk)

St. Catharine's Church (Sint-Catharinakerk), Eindhoven Overview

A highlight in the career of the super famous Dutch architect P.J.H. Cuypers, the church is a grand landmark of Eindhoven.

Built around the middle of the 19th century, the church cuts a striking figure in Eindhoven's cityscape. It's twin towers are unmissable, decorated differently and intricately. While one tower is elegant and refined, one the other you'll see turrets and battlements. The church is of a pronounced Gothic style, like a lot of the other designs of Cuypers. It's elaborate stained glass windows and sculptures visibly add to the aura. A definite visit for those into architecture, a look into one of the best works of Pierre Cuypers.
