Nestled inside the Taiaroa Head, the Royal Albatross Centre is a wildlife observatory that offers you a visual realm of Dunedin’s most raw flora and fauna which is unique because of its great diversity. Wildlife and Conservation

The Centre is not just a tourist attraction as an observatory, it also has significant reach in conserving the indigenous and local wildlife of which New Zealand is famous for. It has preserved the natural attractions of the area, protecting its flora and fauna.

It has a charitable trust associated with it from the tourism that goes to the development of new education programs that is solely dedicated to acknowledging people about the unique existing wildlife that Dunedin boasts of and ways to preserve it.

It is also home to the world’s sole Royal Albatross breeding colony. The other species of wildlife found here are:
