Visitors can also enjoy picnics and romantic walks along the shoreline while taking in panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. How to Reach Kigamboni Beach

To reach Kigamboni Beach, take the Kigamboni Ferry from the Kigamboni Ferry Terminal. The ferry costs only 200 TSH (10 cents) and takes about 5 minutes to cross. There are two ferries running constantly, so you won't have to wait long, even during busy times. Just remember that the ferries leave when they're full, not on a fixed schedule, so plan accordingly.

Once you're in Kigamboni, you can get to Kigamboni Beach by tuktuk for around $2, or by catching the dala-dala bus for $0.16. The bus stand is a 10–15-minute walk up from the ferry on the left-hand side of the road. You can also take a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) for $0.39.
