A valley dotted with mushroom shaped fairy chimneys, an iconic landmark of Cappadocia.
The Pasabag Valley used to be the place where the hermits of Cappadocia would stay to distance themselves from civilization. They hollowed out fairy chimneys to create living quarters at heights for this purpose. The valley also has a chapel dedicated to Saint Simeon, and his hermitage of monks was also here. The fairy chimneys they hollowed out can still be seen today, the most famous of which is built into a triple-headed chimney and is the only one which can be visited. All this is in the middle of a vineyard, called the Pacha's vineyard. The valley is often also called the Monks Valley.
