Animesh Lochana Chaitanya Shrine, Bodh Gaya Overview

Animesh Lochan Chaitya Shrine is where Lord Buddha spent his second week of meditation after attaining Nirvana. It is believed that his meditation involved gazing at the Bodhi Tree continuously without blinking. The place, therefore, was named Animesh Lochan which means –Open Eyes” and is considered important as it teaches self control and focus.
