Another adventure sport that majorly attracts adventure seekers from all over the country, hang gliding is a popular sport that requires training for participation. Billing (14 km) is the launchpad for the hang gliders, and Bir is the landing site.
Hang Gliding was first introduced in Bir in 1980. Since then, it has been one of the major attractions of tourists in the area. Bir- Billing is even listed as one of the most beautiful sites for the sport. Interested people can undergo a training program in the Aero Sports Complex of Bir, which is run by the HTDC. Bir-Billing has hosted five national and three international hand gliding events. It has also been organising annual tournaments every year.
