Ride the Bamboo Train, Battambang Overview
A unique and interesting attraction in Krong Battambang is its innovative bamboo train, which is essentially a bamboo flatbed that runs on wheels. Powered by a tractor and small motorcycle engines, the rail track of the bamboo train stretches from Battambang to the capital of Phnom Penh. Though the abandoned track only allows a train ride of about 7 kilometres, ending at a nearby village, the open bamboo track through the jungles and souvenir shops is definitely an experience worthwhile.
