Narendra Modi's Meditation Cave is Now a Tourist Shrine

Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's Meditation cave in Kedarnath is now being booked by tourists. Ever since it was opened to the public in 2018, tourists started  booking the cave in advance.The cave is maintained by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN).

PM Modi, right before the 2019 general election date, had spent a day meditating in the Rudra caves which is a kilometre from the Kedarnath shrine in Uttarakhand.

Ever since he paid a visit to the cave, it invited a lot of bookings. Four bookings were received in the month of May, followed by 28 bookings in June, 10 July, 8 in August, 19 in September and 10 in October.

Cost and Facilities of the Cave

Cost- Each booking for the cave costs INR 1500 for an overnight booking and INR 999 for the duration of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM 

Facilities Include

  • It has electricity and drinking water for guests.
  •  It has attached toilet and heater. 
  • Guests will be offered morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and dinner. (Meal timings are subject to change as per preference as well)
  • The cave also has the facility of a bell that can be used to call an attendant. Staff have been assigned on 24*7 duty for the comfort of the guests here. 
So now if you wish to reside in the serenity of the caves either for a day or overnight, you can make your bookings.
