Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Madurai
  • Arrive at the airport.
  • On arrival at Madurai, check in to the hotel.
  • Later, proceed sightseeing.
  • Visit Meenakshi Amman Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Palace, Thirupparankundram, and Gandhi Museum.
  • Overnight stay at Madurai.
  • After breakfast, proceed to Rameshwaram.
  • On arrival at Rameswaram, check in to the hotel.
  • Later, proceed sightseeing.
  • Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, Agnitheertham, Dhanushkodi (jeep cost extra), Former President Shri. Dr. Abdul Kalam’s House, and Pamban Bridge.
  • Overnight stay at Rameshwaram.
  • After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari.
  • On arrival in Kanyakumari, check in at the hotel.
  • Later, proceed sightseeing.
  • Visit Padmanabhapuram Palace, Thiruvalluvar Statue, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Bhagavathy Amman Temple, Gandhi Memorial, Bharat Mata Temple, Kanyakumari Beach, and Sunset View Point.
  • Overnight stay at Kanyakumari.
  • After breakfast, proceed to Kovalam.
  • On arrival in Kovalam, check in to the hotel.
  • In the evening, relax at the Kovalam beach.
  • Overnight stay at Kovalam.
  • After breakfast, proceed to Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Visit the Secretariat, Museum, Mini Zoo, and the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple (optional).
  • After lunch, head back to Kovalam.
  • In the evening, visit the crescent-shaped beaches of Kovalam, i.e. Samudra Beach, Hawa Beach & Lighthouse Beach.
  • Overnight stay at Kovalam.
  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Alleppey.
  • Around 1200 hrs, check in at the houseboat and start your cruise through the rich and splendid backwater.
  • Relax at the houseboat.
  • Cruise along the village sides and paddy fields, witnessing the Kerala villages' core life for the whole day.
  • Overnight stay at the houseboat.
  • In the morning, after breakfast check out from the hotel.
  • Drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is a world-famous wildlife sanctuary and it is also called Periyar.
  • On arrival, check in to the hotel.
  • In the afternoon, proceed for a game viewing cruise on Periyar Lake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar, etc.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Thekkady.
  • After breakfast, leave for Munnar
  • On arrival at Munnar check in at the hotel.
  • In the afternoon visit Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park - open as per the directions by the forest authorities) & Tea Museum.
  • In the evening a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise.
  • Overnight stay at Munnar.
  • After breakfast proceed for sightseeing.
  • Visit Mattuppetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu Viewpoint, Blossom Park, etc.

The trip commencing from Delhi on 20.9.2019 to Vienna. From there to Budapest, Bratislava, Prague, Lauf, Wurzburg, Frankfurt and back to Delhi on 27.9.2019 was excellent as regards direct flight, pick (Read More)up, hotels, food, transport, guides, sightseeing, free time and expenses. Travelopack since inception, visa, ticketing, payments, cooperation, coordination and enquiries of well being while abroad was very very good in all respects. Gunjan and Hitesh were too good. Look forward to further trips and recommend others to avail their services.
