Day 1 Paro Airport – Thimphu

  • Transfer to Thimphu, covering a distance of 55 km in approximately 1½ hours.
  • Check-in at the hotel in Thimphu upon arrival.
  • Relax at the hotel or take a leisure walk around Thimphu City in the evening.

  • Visit Kuenselphodrang (Buddha Dordenma), home to the largest statue of Buddha in Bhutan, offering panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley.
  • Explore the National Memorial Chorten, built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King, known as the "Father of Modern Bhutan."
  • Discover Bhutanese culture and traditions at the Folk Heritage Museum.
  • Enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the Thimphu Valley from Sangaygang Viewpoint.
  • Visit the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s national animal, the Takin.

Overall a well managed trip. The driver and vehicle needs a special mention. The hotels were good and spacious. The vessel in Alappuzha lake was comfortable and the crew affable.

We feel good ambience in the resort arranged by the tour operators. Enjoyed the Para gliding. Weather was very fine then. Totally superb except the Driver.
