Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Leh
Upon arrival in Leh, you will be welcomed by our local representative and transferred to a Ladakhi-style hotel. Later, take a complete rest for acclimatization to the arid high altitude of Leh (3505 m). In the evening, enjoy the sunset at Shanti Stupa and Leh Market, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive downstream along the River Indus on the Leh – Kargil Highway. Enjoy sightseeing, starting with the Hall of Fame (a museum constructed by the Indian Army) near Leh, which is worth a visit for every Indian. Proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, nestled deep in the Himalayas. A drive of another 4 km will take you to Magnetic Hill, which defies the law of gravity. Continuing through a picturesque landscape, you will reach the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. After visiting these places, drive back to Leh, en route visiting Spituk Monastery. Built in the 15th century during the reign of Grags 'bum-lde, this Gelug-pa monastery was built like a fortress on the summit of crags. Evening at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Today, after breakfast, drive for about 4-5 hours [125 km] to Nubra, known as the Valley of Flowers. After driving for about 2 hours, you will reach the world's highest motorable road, Khardung La, at about 18,380 feet above sea level. From the top, you can see the most beautiful view of the Indus Valley and its snow-covered peaks towering into the sky. On the other side of the pass, if the weather remains clear, you can see the Karakoram mountain range and its peaks. Descend into the beautiful valley and transfer to the hotel. Later, rest until evening. Before sunset, we will take you for a short drive to Hunder sand dunes to visit and ride double-humped Bactrian camels. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay. If time permits, we will take a village walk to see the local people and their culture.
In the morning, after breakfast, we will visit the picturesque Disket Monastery on the hilltop. Later, continue driving to the other side of the Nubra Valley, which was a main part of the Silk Route. We will continue our drive back to Leh via Khardung La. Upon reaching Leh, transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive (154 km / 6 hrs) to the spectacular Changthang Valley, winding your way over the exhilarating Chang La (5320 m), the second-highest point of our journey. The landscape on the way to Pangong is just spectacular. Overnight in a camp or guesthouse.
The lake is situated at 13,930 ft. / about 4300 m above sea level and is 125 km long but only 4 km at its widest point, extending almost in a straight line towards Tibet; in fact, only a quarter of the lake is in India. En route, you will see some Himalayan marmots and migratory birds. On the way back to Leh, you will cover Druk School, Hemis Monastery, Shey Palace, and Thiksey Monastery in the southern region of Leh. Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel in Leh.

Transfer to airport for onwards journey.

What's Good: Regular Communication update since we booked our flights. They were happy to tailor our trip to our needs. Very kind and courteous. Treatment us like family. Very reasonable rates. (Read More) Accomodation food and travel with driver and car was very good. Called us everyday day in the morning and evening to find how our day trips were and if we were happy or had any issues. Inspite of a few goofups on the while, the stay n tour was satisfactory, thanks to Mr. Munir n his 24x7 availability to solve n overcome tha hiccups. Except the house boat stay at Fizzyhouseboats wh (Read More)ere the shady caretaker Mushtaq had his very nefarious intentions evident when he locked the door of our room from outside for the entire night (he didn't want us to know what was going on in the house boat at night which must be his regular activity in exchange for extra money unknown to the owner). People like him spoil the reputation of Kashmir. He was also curt n rude n didn't provide service as per value for money. He should be brought to task immediately. Again thanks to Mr.Munir of Green dot for his round the clock responsiveness.
