Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Leh
  • Arrival at Kushok Bakula Airport in Leh (situated at a height of 3,500 meters).
  • Transfer to your guest house and hand-over of the documents from the representative.
  • Later, acclimatize yourself with the low atmospheric pressure because of the high altitude of Ladakh.
  • If health permits, then you will be taken to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace.
  • Overnight stay at the Deluxe guest house/ hotel.
  • After breakfast at the hotel, get ready for a tour of Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Kali Temple and Sangam.
    Hall of Fame has been built by Indian army in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in Kargil war.
  • At Sangam, you can enjoy rafting on Zanskar River.
  • In the evening, come back to Leh.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel/ guest house.
  • Early morning, leave for Nubra Valley via Khardongla Pass.
  • In the afternoon, check-in camps.
    Nubra has acquired fame for its sand dunes, the cold desert that surrounds it, Bactrian camels and its breath-taking natural beauty.
  • Enjoy a Bactrian camel safari at the sand dunes.
    The safari tour is done with double humped camels that are found only in Nubra Valley.
  • Overnight stay at the deluxe camp/ hotel.
  • Drive to Diskit Monastery.
  • Later, drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok River .
  • Enjoy the turquoise colour panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes which will leave you awestruck.
  • Spend your afternoon to enjoy and explore the beauty of Pangong lake.
  • Check-in the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the camp.
  • After a late breakfast, spend some time at the lake.
  • Later drive back to Leh.
  • En route visit Thiksey Monastery, Rancho School (3 Idiot) and Shey Palace.
    Thiksey Monastery is the finest example of Ladakhi architecture. It is a massive twelve storey monastery complex with a number of stupas, statues, Thankas and wall paintings. There is also a large pillar engraved with the Buddha's teachings.
    Shey Monastery is located at a solitary hillock at a distance of 15 km away south of Leh. This monastery is also called Shey Palace. Main attraction in Shey Monastery is twelve feet Shakyamuni Buddha's statue.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
  • After breakfast, drop to Leh airport to catch the onward flight back home.

What's Good: All destination Hotels and their Breakfast were excellent but suggest you to add fruits and Bread/Toast Butter/Jam as option for children and some time for adult also.

What's Good: I'm delighted to share my exceptional experience with Welgreen Kerala Holidays, expertly managed by Mr. George. Our customized tour package exceeded our expectations, blending comf (Read More)ort and memorable experiences. Hotel selections were impressive: Hotel Sea View at Kanyakumari offered breathtaking sunrise views and delicious food. Hotel Germanus in Madurai, Hotel Soma Palmshore in Kovalam, and Hotel Taika in Rameshwaram provided pleasant stays with good food and courteous staff. The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available. Some valuable tips for future travelers: verify temple timings and dress code regulations in advance to optimize your itinerary. Ladies can find lovely, affordable sarees and dress materials. Engaging local drivers or guides can also enhance your experience. Mr. George and Welgreen Kerala Holidays deserve 100% marks for crafting an unforgettable trip with thoughtful hotel choices and a well-planned itinerary. What's Not Good: The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available and no more activities at the shore. Rather we would have preferred to stay in a hotel and take long ride of houseboat in the afternoon to late evening would have better.

Every part of travel good. The approach road to hotel Vagamon Vagashore at Vagamon and room service at Thekkady hotel named Kumly gate were poor .

Resort and hotel suggestions to suit my budget and strategically selected closer to places of interest was truly 5 star service from the agent. My solo trip was made safe and comfortable. Great sugge (Read More)stions were made to choose places to visit to make the trip fun, enjoyable and memorable. This awesome trip in a very long time was fun and refreshing. The paradise in Kerala will transcend your soul to haven. People are welcoming and friendly. I recommend Varkala tranquil beeches and Kovalam backwaters for the ultimate fun experience. Gods Own Country’s Kitchen is recommended for some great food and live music on the Varkala cliff point. If south temple architecture peeks your interest, then there are a few gems from ancient times hidden here to explore maintaining sanctity and faith in true form. Solo travellers pay couples rate which can be heavy on the purse. South India need to warm up to the idea that solo traveller numbers are increasing, male and female alike and in all age groups. Not only the cost of travel but people’s outlook need to change. Most of the temples here are only for believers in faith. Kanyakumari was crowded during the Diwali break. The seashore here is only to soak in the view. Thiruvananthapuram Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple darshan was divine however fleeting it maybe, but the mandapa which adorns the beautiful sculptures is out of bounds for devotees. The Garbhagudi could be well lit, so the devotees can properly catch a glimpse of the lord and be blessed. Since architecture is out of bounds recommend special entry for swift darshan.
