Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Dehradun/Rishikesh/Haridwar – Guptkashi (215 km / Approx. 9 hours’ drive)

Arrive at Haridwar, where our representative will meet and assist you. Drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgoan.
En route, witness the beautiful Mandakini River at Tilwara. The Mandakini River originates from Kedarnath, and you will drive alongside it to reach Guptkashi.
Visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptkashi.
Check into the hotel upon arrival in Guptkashi for an overnight stay.

Guptkashi:
The name Guptkashi means "Hidden Benares." Mythology describes that when the Pandava brothers were searching for Lord Shiva, he first concealed himself at Guptkashi before fleeing further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally met him. The Kedarnath priests (pandas) live in Guptkashi during winter when the Kedarnath temple closes. The image of Kedarnath passes through Guptkashi on its way to Ukhimath for the winter.

Guptkashi Weather: Pleasant in summer with temperatures ranging from 25-30°C. Winters are cold.

The morning after breakfast, proceed to Kedarnath. Enjoy the Kedarnath Pooja Darshan and return to your hotel for an overnight stay at Kedarnath.

By Trek:
Our driver will drop you at Sonprayag. From there, take a local jeep to Gourikund, where your trek to Kedarnath begins.
After Darshan, follow the same route back to Sonprayag. Since parking space is limited, the driver may park elsewhere. If contact is unavailable, arrange for another taxi or wait for the driver and send a message via another driver.

Kedarnath:
The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is set against the majestic Kedarnath range. Legend states that after the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas sought redemption from Lord Shiva, who took refuge at Kedarnath as a bull. He dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. Other parts of Shiva appeared at Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhmaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar, collectively known as Panch Kedar.

Kedarnath Weather:
Summer is cool and pleasant, with temperatures around 20°C. Light woolen wear is recommended.
Winter is severe with temperatures falling to 0°C, often accompanied by snowfall. Due to extreme weather, tourism is avoided during winter.
Morning after breakfast, proceed for Guptkashi by trek.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Guptkashi.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath.
Upon arrival, check into the hotel.
Pilgrims can take a bath in the Taptkund and have Darshan of Badrivishal. Attend the evening Aarti.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Badrinath.
Morning drive back to Haridwar.
En route, visit the Confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers called Devprayag.

My family and I just used We Traveloutsav to plan a trip to Agra, Mathura, and Vrindavan. Shraddha did an excellent job assisting me in tailoring my trip to meet my needs. I've endured a lot of domest (Read More)ic travel, but I can say with certainty that this trip was the finest yet—and that's all thanks to Shraddha! When it comes to her craft, she excels. Bookings or the itinerary were not a concern for me. She literally handled every detail. During the trip, I told her that we had a small issue with one of our hotel's services, and a few minutes later, everything was resolved. My service was like five times better. I would definitely recommend Shraddha and her company! I am absolutely certain that she will be our only travel agent in the future! Thank you for the excellent experience and great trip, Shraddha!
