Guptkashi:
The name Guptkashi means "Hidden Benares." Mythology describes that when the Pandava brothers were searching for Lord Shiva, he first concealed himself at Guptkashi before fleeing further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally met him. The Kedarnath priests (pandas) live in Guptkashi during winter when the Kedarnath temple closes. The image of Kedarnath passes through Guptkashi on its way to Ukhimath for the winter.
Guptkashi Weather: Pleasant in summer with temperatures ranging from 25-30°C. Winters are cold.
