After bathing in Jamunabai Kund's warm water and having "Darshan" of "Yamunaji," return to Jankichatti by trek. Later, drive towards Barkot and check out from the hotel. Overnight stay at Barkot.

Yamunotri Temple: Built by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur in the 19th century, the temple has been rebuilt twice due to destruction.

At Yamunotri, pilgrims can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot waters of the Taptkund. This cooked rice is taken home as "Prasad." Near the temple, "Pooja" can also be offered to Divya Shila.

Surya Kund: There are a number of thermal springs near the temple, flowing into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.

Divya Shila: A rock pillar worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

Uttarkashi is home to several ashrams and temples. The name reflects its similarity and location (north of) the city of Kashi (Varanasi). Like Varanasi, Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of the River Ganga.
Early morning, drive to Gangotri. En route, take a holy dip in Garam Kund at Gangnani. On arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges, called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, then relax in the serene surroundings. Later, drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Morning after breakfast, proceed to Kedarnath. Enjoy Kedarnath Pooja Darshan and return to the hotel for an overnight stay at Kedarnath.

By Trek: The driver will drop you at Sonprayag. From there, take a local jeep to Gaurikund. Your trek to Kedarnath (22 km) begins here. After Darshan, follow the same route back to Sonprayag. Due to parking issues, drivers may park elsewhere, so you may need to arrange another taxi or wait for your driver.

Kedarnath Temple: One of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath is set against the majestic backdrop of the Kedarnath range. According to legend, Lord Shiva eluded the Pandavas here and took the form of a bull. The hump of the bull is worshipped at Kedarnath, while other parts are worshipped at the Panch Kedar shrines.

Kedarnath Weather: Due to its high altitude, Kedarnath remains cold for most of the year. Summer temperatures are around 20 degrees Celsius. Light woolens are recommended. Winters are severe, with temperatures dropping to 0 degrees Celsius and heavy snowfall.

She stayed in touch with us throughout the journey, proactively addressing any issues that might arise. All the hotels and itinerary arrangements were very good. Our driver was polite and skilled at navigating the challenging, narrow ghat roads. We also appreciated their flexible payment policy, unlike other agencies that require full payment upfront, VJ Global did not.
