Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Leh - Rest Day
  • Enjoy the flight into Leh, the capital of Ladakh, experiencing as you fly over the dramatic regions of the Himalayas, the Great Himalayan, Zanskar, Ladakh and the Karakoram Ranges.
  • On your arrival at the Kushok Bakula Rimpochhe Airport, Leh (11562 ft) - the land of brave hearts, you will be greeted by our representative who will guide you to your transfer to your hotel for check in.
  • Due to sudden arrival at high altitude of Leh you are advised to rest the entire day in order to acclimatize to the conditions.
  • Lunch & dinner will be served at the hotel.
  • After breakfast, proceed to visit the Indus Valley Monastery tour including Shey, the ancient capital of Ladakh and the Sindhu Ghat
  • Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, visit to Rancho's School or the Druk Padma Karpo school.
  • Return to the hotel for lunch & dinner.
  • After an early breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley crossing Khardung-la-pass - the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft. Nubra Valley is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram range and Ladakh range of the Himalayas 
  • Visit the Samstaling Monastery.
  • Sumur sand dunes.
  • Check in at the resort / camp.
  • Enjoy your evening at the campsite.
  • Return back to the resort / camp for dinner.
  • After breakfast at the Camp, proceed to visit the Diskit Monastery and the Sand Dunes at Hunder where you can enjoy a Camel Safari (on your own) on a double hump Bactrian camel.
  • You can rest and relax in the afternoon or take a walk to the local market.
  • Enjoy your dinner at the hotel.
  • After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake (approximately 145/ 5 hours) through the Changlangla pass at 5486 mtrs.
  • Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m) is a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point and over 130km in length.
  • The international border between India and China bisects it. Enjoy the landscape in the backdrop of the lake, one rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.
  • Evening is at leisure.
  • Enjoy a local dinner at your camp.
  • Wake up to a beautiful morning by the lake exploring the beauty of the lake after breakfast.
  • Later you drive back to Leh enroute visit Hemis one of the grandest and popular monastery.
  • Rest of the day is free for leisure activities.
  • Enjoy your dinner at the hotel.
  • After breakfast you will proceed to visit the Hall of Fame - museum constructed by the Indian Army.
  • Gurudwara Patthar Sahib nestled deep in the Himalayas, which was built by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev.
  • Further we experience the Magnetic Hill which defies the Law of Gravity.
  • Witness the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers from Nimoo.
  • Packed lunch will be served enroute.
  • Drive further to Alchi, 65kms from Leh nestled in the barren mountain valley of river Indus.
  • Optional activities - Rafting (with additional cost as per passenger request).
  • Return back to Leh for dinner at the hotel.
  • Your last morning in Ladakh, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and proceed to the airport to return home with memories of Fascinating Ladakh.

What's Good: All destination Hotels and their Breakfast were excellent but suggest you to add fruits and Bread/Toast Butter/Jam as option for children and some time for adult also.

What's Good: I'm delighted to share my exceptional experience with Welgreen Kerala Holidays, expertly managed by Mr. George. Our customized tour package exceeded our expectations, blending comf (Read More)ort and memorable experiences. Hotel selections were impressive: Hotel Sea View at Kanyakumari offered breathtaking sunrise views and delicious food. Hotel Germanus in Madurai, Hotel Soma Palmshore in Kovalam, and Hotel Taika in Rameshwaram provided pleasant stays with good food and courteous staff. The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available. Some valuable tips for future travelers: verify temple timings and dress code regulations in advance to optimize your itinerary. Ladies can find lovely, affordable sarees and dress materials. Engaging local drivers or guides can also enhance your experience. Mr. George and Welgreen Kerala Holidays deserve 100% marks for crafting an unforgettable trip with thoughtful hotel choices and a well-planned itinerary. What's Not Good: The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available and no more activities at the shore. Rather we would have preferred to stay in a hotel and take long ride of houseboat in the afternoon to late evening would have better.

Every part of travel good. The approach road to hotel Vagamon Vagashore at Vagamon and room service at Thekkady hotel named Kumly gate were poor .

Resort and hotel suggestions to suit my budget and strategically selected closer to places of interest was truly 5 star service from the agent. My solo trip was made safe and comfortable. Great sugge (Read More)stions were made to choose places to visit to make the trip fun, enjoyable and memorable. This awesome trip in a very long time was fun and refreshing. The paradise in Kerala will transcend your soul to haven. People are welcoming and friendly. I recommend Varkala tranquil beeches and Kovalam backwaters for the ultimate fun experience. Gods Own Country’s Kitchen is recommended for some great food and live music on the Varkala cliff point. If south temple architecture peeks your interest, then there are a few gems from ancient times hidden here to explore maintaining sanctity and faith in true form. Solo travellers pay couples rate which can be heavy on the purse. South India need to warm up to the idea that solo traveller numbers are increasing, male and female alike and in all age groups. Not only the cost of travel but people’s outlook need to change. Most of the temples here are only for believers in faith. Kanyakumari was crowded during the Diwali break. The seashore here is only to soak in the view. Thiruvananthapuram Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple darshan was divine however fleeting it maybe, but the mandapa which adorns the beautiful sculptures is out of bounds for devotees. The Garbhagudi could be well lit, so the devotees can properly catch a glimpse of the lord and be blessed. Since architecture is out of bounds recommend special entry for swift darshan.
