Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Leh - Leisure Day
  • On arrival, pickup from the airport and transfer to hotel.
  • Later, acclimatize yourself with the low atmospheric pressure because of the high altitude of Ladakh.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • After breakfast, drive to Likir Monastery.
  • After sightseeing, have lunch and leave for Leh.
  • En route visit Sangam (confluence of Zanskar and Indus rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata Temple and Hall of Fame.
  • Be back to Leh by evening.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
  • After breakfast, departure to Pangong Lake via Chang La Pass (3rd highest motorable pass in the world). 
  • Enjoy a full day of sightseeing around the lake.
  • Later, check-in at a tented camp near the lake for overnight stay,
  • OR drive back for 30 kms to the small township of Tangtse for overnight stay at a hotel / guest house.
  • After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and retrace the road to Leh after re-crossing the Chang-la Pass.
  • Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery.
  • Hemis is the biggest and richest monastery and the principal seat of the Drukpa- Kagyut monastic order in Ladakh.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
  • In the morning, drive to Khardung-La (highest motorable pass in the world).
  • Enjoy spectacular views of the Indus Valley and the mountain ranges beyond while driving back from the pass.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure to explore the markets.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • After breakfast, drop to Leh airport to catch the onward flight back home.

What's Good: I loved my short time in Bhutan. The hotels were Very nice and clean. Since I wanted to save money, I asked for only 3-star hotels, the hotel I was placed in were all very very (Read More) clean and included a breakfast buffet and dinner. We also stayed at a home stay out in the countryside with a beautiful valley-view and a wonderful host. The homestay allows one to have a more authentic experience staying and interacting with local Bhutanese people. We loved experiencing the delicious Bhutanese food and culture and will not hesitate to come again in the future. I was just not aware how much was included in our tour. We had guides taking us personally everywhere we went. And even dinner was included in our package! You can confidently utilize this company. They strive to go above and beyond your expectations.
What's Not Good: I could have been fine without including the dinner in our package and seeking out my own dinners outside. Had I mention Ed that to Asia Valley, I am sure they would have accommodated my request.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating insights throughout the trip. Our driver was very skilled and courteous, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride. The hotels they arranged were top-notch, offering excellent comfort and hospitality. Overall, Hitansh Wanderlust truly made our trip memorable with their outstanding service. Highly recommended!
What's Not Good: One hotel in Paro Udhamwara Resort. It was not as we excepted . Not recommended at all.

What's Good: ## Bhutan Experience Our journey through Bhutan was largely impressive, with knowledgeable guides who showcased the country's rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes with g (Read More)enuine enthusiasm. The drivers navigated the winding mountain roads with skill and professionalism, ensuring our comfort throughout most of the journey. However, our second night at Paro Rema Resort fell short of expectations in terms of dining. The food quality was disappointing compared to other meals we enjoyed in Bhutan, lacking both flavor and presentation that would be expected at a resort of this caliber. ## Sikkim Portion The transition between destinations proved problematic. Our transfer from Bhutan to Gangtok felt unnecessarily rushed, with a driver who seemed more concerned with completing the journey quickly than ensuring passenger comfort or allowing us to appreciate the scenic route. Upon arrival in Gangtok, we were pleased with our hotel's prime location on MG Road, offering convenient access to local attractions, shopping, and dining options. Unfortunately, the hotel's service standards did not match its excellent location. Staff responsiveness was inconsistent, and several basic amenities were either missing or required multiple requests. Overall, while the Bhutan portion of our tour delivered a memorable experience, the Sikkim segment would benefit from significant improvements to transportation and accommodation service quality.
