Disappointing

Beautiful hotel but needs better service, cleaning and food

The hotel is well located in a quiet residential area about a 10 min walk from Boudha Stupa. The room was spacious and had a large balcony where you can watch the sun rise. The bed was very comfortable and the rain shower was good. There was also a large terrace outside the room with tables and chairs which was nice. The guy on night reception really helped us get back our lost suitcase from the bus company which we really appreciated. The hotel let us put some cheese that we had bought in their fridge as there was no fridge in our room.

Unfortunately we didn't have the best check in experience and didn't feel warmly welcomed by the hotel. The floor in our room felt dirty and there were ants even on the bed. The balcony floor was also dirty. The outside terrace floors had ants as well and the tables and chairs were covered with dirt and dust. When we cleaned our room floor and the table outside the cloth was black. My husband also cut himself when the top of the bathroom floor scraper came off. We needed to use it because the shower floor drain was very slow draining and water was overflowing. The breakfast at the hotel was below average and the stir fried tofu and vegetable dish we tried one night was boiled vegetables in a tasteless broth. On top of that, the food was overpriced and we were charged for small glasses of milk that we asked for to use with tea in our room, but they never told us we would be charged as most hotels will give you a little milk to use.

A very peaceful location in a Buddhist community and only 5 minutes walk to Boudha.

One member of the staff was not in a good mood through the entirety of our stay and that made some conversations. weird. Got half baked answers to questions. Breakfast could also be improved, very basic.

We stayed for a week. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very simple and the same throughout the week. The hotel is in a quiet location and close to the stupa.

Exceptional

The hotel was just outstanding: from the interior design, facilities, to the food and drinks! It was also quite and safe there. The staff were very hospitable. They took my order late at night although it ready passed the serving hours and helped me to arrange a taxi to the airport with fair price! Besides, the hotel is very much aware in contributing to protect the environment with using less plastic.
