Good rather than great!

Location

Felt like reception, concierge, bar and restaurant staff were fulfilling a function rather than enthusiastic about guest relations. The staff in the bar are singled out for criticism as they do the absolute basics and seem to lack basic interpersonal skills.

A wonderful place to stay, spoiled us for any other NYC hotel!

Outstanding location, within walking distance of Central Park, great shopping and restaurants. Perfect staff, from concierge, to front desk, to housekeeping, to elevator operators, to room service and more. Old luxury, comfortable rooms with great beds.

Often only one elevator was working, bath a bit small
