Breakfast was great. Premium location. Room was quite clean.

The room we received was exceptionally small, considering the premium price we had to pay for New Year's Eve.

The price we paid for our stay did not match our expectations.

Location is good.

Room too small for a couple. Only one chair. TV stations not working in Room 106, even after we filled in and handed the maintenance form to staffs at the front counter. Poor phone connection in the room. Poor cleaning room services, we had to raised concerns to the front counter staffs for this.

Short stay in Hobart

Lovely clean room which was serviced daily. Very comfortable bed. Good location (only a little walk from Salamanca). Friendly staff who assisted us with an very late/after hours check-in.

Not much of an outlook from our room - looked onto the other part of the building.

No frills hotel, good location.

Great location.

Tiny room. No Smart TV/ Chrome-cast not working. Charged $17 for parking even though we didnt use the carpark. We had simply enquired about available parking, and they suggested a car park behind their building that they were affiliated with. They gave us a sheet with info only - we didnt go to the carpark in the end as our hire car cancelled. But upon check out we were asked to pay $17, as they had apparently issued a code for us to use the carpark, which they are in turn charged for. So even though the code was never used, we still had to pay. Trivial issue, but annoying still.

Ease of checkin, nye gift, friendly staff in all areas of the hotel, great pool and sauna, small plate food great, a nice experience.

Limited free onsite parking available, cost of onsite parking. Managed to find free parking a couple of streets away.

Disappointing experience

Location

(1) The room was tiny. (2) The check-in experience was unsatisfactory. We checked in at 2:10pm, in accordance with the published recommended check-in time but the room wasn't ready. The lady at the front desk apologised for the delay, but she made it unpleasant by attempting to justify it by stating that the hotel's check in window was FROM 2pm onward, NOT necessarily at 2pm. In other words, we should not have expected our room to have been ready by 2pm, even though at 1:30pm on that day we had been told to come back at 2pm when hoping to check in early. We had travelled a long way that day, and was desperate to have a rest in a room; her attitude was adding insult to injury. Fortunately a fellow staff member came over and intervened; he suggested a change of allocation and we were given a room. The hotel was charging twice its normal tariff because it was nearing New Year's Eve, which is understandable, but guests should not have to downgrade their expectations of good service.
