A beautiful hotel in the heart of Edinburgh with fantastic facilities and rooms.

Beautiful rooms and facilities. We loved the treats ok arrival in reception the mince pies, water and sweet treats add a warm welcome. The staff were very friendly and the bar and restaurant, although we didnt make use of them looked very inviting. Wed love to return!

We stayed an extra night

The view from the room was spectacular! I had made a request prior to arriving and the staff happily made it happened (Requested welcome champagne for my partner's birthday). Also, the bar/lounge staff were very nice. We had ordered a few scotches to taste and one of the staff offered his favorite scotch as a gesture! It was wonderful overall. Lastly, the decorations for Christmas was wonderful!

Fabulous pre Christmas break in a lovely room with a stunning view.

Beautiful building with character and lovely furnishings. Decorated beautifully for Christmas. It was a real treat to stay there. Short walk to Princes Street/George Street area.

Reception area is small and felt a little crowded when we arrived.

A Beautiful Luxury Hotel at Affordable Rate

A lovely traditional-style hotel with warm helpful staff, proper style, high-end surroundings, all for a very cost-effective rate. I'd call it a Ritz style establishment-- beautiful decor, a proper bar and lounging areas, attention to detail, service above and beyond! Nice breakfast, huge, made to order. Lovely room, comfortable bed, first- rate linens. Excellent front desk. Parking on site, paid, on first-come basis with a public lot close by if that one is full. Easy walking distance to main streets but in a quiet park area so not noisy. Highly recommend.

No negatives that i can think of.
