    The room at Swiss Diamond Hotel & Spa was large with a great view, but cleanliness was not up to 5-star standards. The service was exceptional and the staff was friendly. The spa and pool area could (Read More)have been larger. Overall, the reviewer had an unforgettable birthday experience and was very satisfied. The food at the hotel was good and the service was fantastic, with one particular staff member standing out for their excellent service during breakfast and a special dinner.

    Good Old Days in a little oldies but goldies location type
    The breakfast is served in a very small, parking facing location, this is something weird as they have the Restaurant Lago on site, probably lazy to keep it open. Did not correlate two bookings into one and had to call trying to vacant the room while having another reservation

    Perfection! Excellent service!
    Perfect hotel! Exceptional service, beautiful location & excellent food! Look no further this is the best hotel! Every single staff member was superb from the bellman, front desk, spa, pool, bar & restaurants. A special thank you to Franco, Rudy, Tarchi, Marianna, Giuseppe & Thorne (hopefully we didnt miss anyone) that provided service way above and beyond. They made our stay very special and enjoyable. Thank you! We highly recommend!

    Charming Hotel in quieter location-reasonable rates given the location.
    The Hotel has a certain charm and is located on the foreshore of Lugano Lake which is nice. Views across the lake and into the mountains from the room are excellent. The room we had was comfortable. Good location for getting away from crowds in nearby Italy for a more relaxing time. (although we ended up exploring the area instead of lying by the lake or pool)
    There was a lack of opulence we were expecting. While there was nothing to complain about, there was just a little bit of pizzazz missing. The room we had faced the water however there is a road between the room and the view not obvious in the pictures. It's still close and the road is not that busy, but it disconnected the hotel from the water. The staff were nice and also friendly, but not as effusive as we'd experienced in other similar quality hotels. I have seen other reviews saying the opposite so perhaps that was just our experience. In-room dining prices were something to behold especially when you can't help but convert to your own currency. Overall, a good experience. Just not one of the great ones.
