Superb

Story Hotel is an expensive peace of Paradise.

The Story Hotel is situated on the best beach on the whole of Mahe - Beau Vallon Bay. The sand is soft and white and kept very clean. The Swimming pool is a magical place to relax and experience the tropical atmosphere. This place really has the aura of paradise.

The Breakfast restaurant setting is wonderful- a few steps from the beach and the waves. The food , though , is medium and has been better in previous years. The fixed fruit- and cheese platters is almost a disgrace- one is unable to make a choice to satisfy your own tastes. The egg-station follows the same principles- the order is placed with the waiter instead of the chef himself - therefore the product is mostly not what you actually want. The service , though , is friendly and efficient. It is best to avoid the Hotel restaurants - very expensive and the food is never the quality expected.

Fantastic beach right outside the hotel! Good breakfast selection. They make any egg dish you would like. Trader vic has fantastic drinks and good food! Lot's of activities arranged by the hotel. Lot's of animals around the hotel such as hedgehog, birds, fruit bat and more!

Stay away from the eden restaurant - the food is sub-par and expensive. Slow service in the main bar in the lobby. Broken equipment in the room. Staff is okay, but nothing out of the ordinaire - A few of the receptionist really stood out and where great! The beverage prices across the hotel is ridiculous compared to other hotels..

Best in class service and great location & facilities

The service levels at this hotel were exceptional. The front office staff in particular were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We had a room upgrade which was unexpected and appreciated. The room and resort facilities were exceptional and the on-site restaurants excellent. The location on the beach is great.

Very good

Nice friendly comfortable hotel in good location at one end of busy beach.

Good location, nice room, reception area and grounds nice, Japanese restaurant is great.

Breakfast buffet is poorly presented and Trader Vic bar/restaurant needs a revamp.

Great location and luxurious resort

Amazing location. The beach is perfect. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. Great selection at breakfast. Very attentive staff.

The resort itself is expensive for drinks and food e.g., the pool bar. We had one lovely meal at Eden but mostly ate out in other restaurants or from the local food shacks further up the beach.

First class place to stay

Room was great with lots of room and great facilities. Balcony was large with nice furniture. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. As an example Daryl noticed my wife was not with me at breakfast and offered to make us a package to take to the room. Just one of many.

The open plan nature of the bathroom and glass toilet door! There were night lights but it worked in the bedroom too and I did hurt my leg on the stools at the end of the bed when paying a visit as do not want to wake partner. Should have a sign by AC control saying would not work if balcony door is open.
