    Overall, one reviewer had a pleasant stay at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, enjoying the friendly staff and their efforts to make their trip special. They were disappointed by the lack of a microwave and mini fridge in the room, and found the communal microwave inconvenient to access. The hotel is deemed to be very walkable and offers a small market, cafe, and restaurant on the lobby floor.

    For the amount I paid for this hotel, I expected better.
    Location was great
    My room was dirty, there was hair from the previous occupant all over the bathroom. It smelled like fresh paint and stale cigarettes. And the walls are paper thin, I could hear everything upstairs and on either side of me.

    Convenient location and friendly staff, but I would stay somewhere else next time.
    The staff went above and beyond to help. The beds were comfortable, and because of the central location, we were able to walk to restaurants, sites, and the opera house.
    The hotel is a bit dated, and its beginning to show the bathroom could be updated and the outlet made my curling iron WAY too hot (it burnt off a section of my hair). After our stay, I do feel like we drastically overpaid, but I assume rates were higher because of the Bluegrass Festival.

    Great location to stay for attending the Red Hat Amphitheater.
    The location was great, as we attended a show at the Red Hat Amphitheater. The room was solid and met all expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful.
    The hotel basically shut down despite many people from the show staying in the hotel. I would like to see more anticipation from the hotel on busy show nights, in which there are probably quite a few people staying there. We all came over about the same time and I saw over 20 people just when I entered. I ended up bumping into others looking for vending or anywhere to buy drinks. Everything was shut down. Staff went above and beyond to find me a gatorade in the back and didn't charge me. Huge points there.
