unyielding policies, lack of compassion, regrettable experience, money grabbers

I booked a room at Scott's for a last-minute stay, excited about the upcoming experience. Unfortunately, I fell ill the night before and had to cancel my plans. Despite reaching out to the hotel promptly, I encountered a rigid refund policy that left me with a sour taste. I understand that hotels have policies, but unforeseen circumstances happen to all of us. I was disappointed that Manager didn't show any flexibility in accommodating my situation. I paid 190 euros for a room I couldn't use and was hoping for at least a partial refund or the option to reschedule. I requested date changes and the general manager gladly denied it and kept shoving the policy's in my face. I personally feel they got a thrill out of my misfortune. It's disheartening when customer service lacks empathy, especially during challenging times. I believe a more understanding approach could have turned this negative experience into a more positive one. I hope this review serves as feedback for Scotts to reconsider their policies and perhaps introduce more flexibility for guests facing unexpected challenges. A little compassion goes a long way in creating a positive impression.

I disliked the rigid and unyielding cancellation policy that left me out of pocket with no room for flexibility. It felt as though the hotel took pleasure in enforcing its rigid policies without a hint of understanding or consideration. The lack of empathy and refusal to accommodate a change left me questioning the values of this establishment. It's disheartening when a business prioritizes rigid policies over basic human compassion. This lack of empathy overshadowed any potential positive aspects of the service and left me with a bitter experience.

Very enjoyable experience

Very impressed with the staff on Reception when I checked in. Very friendly and helpful. Our Room was spotless and very tastefully decorated. Heating in our room and throughout the hotel was very comfortable. Underground Parking was great but a little tight. Fantastic entertainment and a great overall atmosphere. Meet and Greet at Breakfast was very pleasant and very friendly staff that directed us to a lovely Cold buffet and took our order for Breakfast. We had a full Irish and it was excellent. Presentation of the Full Irish on a hot plate, verry impressed. A1 Hotel and would highly recommend.

Exceptional

The staff are always so friendly and attentive Hotel is just perfect for cleanliness, warmth and appearance. Rooms are nice size and comfortable! Bathroom was great size too and the showers were out of this world. It was a brilliant trip from start to finish and we will be back next year.

Nothing I didn't like. I can not fault a single thing.
