The Sands of La Jolla is highly recommended due to its amazing location, close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The hotel underwent renovations and now offers modern furniture, A/C, and frien (Read More)dly staff. One criticism is that the new modern mirror in the rooms has a built-in nightlight that cannot be turned off. The hotel provides a secure environment and is within walking distance to various attractions. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff is accommodating. Overall, a great value and a convenient place to stay.

The place is near the wonderful beaches. Very cleaned and the workers helpful. The parking is free.

Good location, comfortable and clean. I expect to return!

Nice central location, great beds, lots of local food options, and a short trip to the ocean.

Parking lot was a bit tight but that might only be the parking skills of my fellow travellers.

Great location, comfortable but not for those with sensitive ears.

Location was amazing! Right next to the beach and a walk to the towns little strip. CVS next door too if you forget anything or need waters, snacks, etc. plenty of towels, loved having a functioning tv and AC/Heat. And the patio was super convenient!

Bed and pillows were eh. And I really disliked how you could hear everything and everyone around you. The people upstairs were so loud and the people next door, I could hear every conversation. So definitely need ear plugs if you plan to get any sleep here

faculty won't be there until 8:00am, so if you want a cup of coffee in early morning, that won't work.
