The location from Newark was excellent. Subway just 1 street away. Walkable to downtown, the Hudson. Served a nice breakfast and not to pricey Nice lounge area. Good size room even for the basic room

All the clutter on the cabinets trying to sell you. Just got in the way and prices were ridiculous. 7 dollars for a snickers being one of them. Also the band were extremely loud and on until late. The design of the hotel didn't matter where you were I'd imagine you would still hear it loud

Great location, wonderful history and decor in the hotel.

Great atmosphere and lovely hotel overall. It was just more expensive than usual (probably because we chose to go between Christmas and NYE). But would stay there again, great location, friendly staff!

Terrific location in a very comfortable hotel

Location of hotel is SUPER convenient for subway lines and walking to many neighborhoods, including the one it's located in, Tribeca. Rooms are bigger than many at the same price point. There are is live music in the lobby which can filter up through the atrium to most rooms, but the built-in white noise machines in the room do an excellent job of masking the music wafting through the property.

As it was the Christmas holiday weekend, the hotel restaurant seemed a bit understaffed and we ended up walking out of brunch as the hostess just could not handle the crowds properly. After waiting to be seated, we were given brunch menus. Then a few minutes later, those were practically ripped out of our hands and replaced with lunch menus. After more waiting and not being greeted, poured water, or even acknowledged by any service staff, we walked out. Unfortunate, but probably the trend with many hospitality industries that are understaffed and staff is overworked.

Felt slightly second class but the rooms were quite nice.

Good sized room and a great elevator. Location is good. The bar is decent if you are able to get in there. I can't comment on the food as we were unable to get into the restaurant on the first night due to a private party so we booked other venues for the rest of our stay just in case there were other parties. Some space set aside for guests would have been good. I would advise checking in advance of your stay the availability of the restaurant.

Told off for taking a photograph in the hotel atrium. Apparently there might be important guests staying, which I assume did not include us. Perhaps a sign to somehow represent this restriction would have avoided this awkward situation? I have included a censored photo of the lobby

Cool hotel but needs to improve on bar service

Enjoy the difference in the hotel compared to others such as the jazz bar and stage in the centre.

Loved the feel of this classy, beautiful hotel, with a great vibe

Fabulous building, easily accessible if youre happy using the subway and a great base if you enjoy a lively bar with jazz / dj to fuel the vibe. First rate breakfast too!

Its certainly not the cheapest place weve stayed, and most of the major tourist spots are a subway or cab ride away.

Incredible location, the bar area was quite lively but our room was pretty quiet and pleasant. They do have a white noise generating machine in the room if needed. We didn't

I was pleased with everything. The check-in area could use a little more lighting, but that's a small issue and not worth a complaint.
