Would love to come back here to rejuvenate myself. Would highly recommend this place to unwind.

The food spread both during lunch and dinner was exceptional. The ingredients were absolutely fresh and pure. The food and snacks were delectable and finger licking good. Dinner at Woods was an altogether an extremely enjoyable and a special experience. The food and service was outstanding. My family including myself, had a great time and found it super relaxing and soothing.. The cheerful smile and the warmth of the staff made our stay even more memorable. Would like to thank profusely some of the hotel team members, that we came across and were found to be going out of their way to make our stay so thoroughly enjoyable. Shantanu the Director operations, Soumitra the Director F&B, Nitin the restaurant Manager were outstanding hosts who made us feel so much at home. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, the linen provided were fresh & clean. The natural surrounding was really very soothing and refreshing.

A few more interesting short hikes through natural forest areas would have been welcome. The natures trail presently done could be better.

Good property

The property is huge and well maintained. Being a forest area, you can hear variety of birds and we saw one giant Indian squirrel (Shekru) as well on one of the trees. There's ample amount of activities to keep adults and kids entertained and you really don't need to leave the property. Staff is exceptionally kind, polite and chatty - they are always ready to help, strike a conversation and in general, make you feel wanted and comfortable. The room had a coffee brewing machine which is amazing if you like a good filter coffee. Swimming pool is heated and clean but it's a tad small, so it can get crowded very easily. They gave us muffins, chips and strawberries when we checked out - a little something for the road, which was a cool gesture. Check-in and checkout process was quick and hassle-free, they gave us an early check-in also. The Woods restaurant is excellent in terms of seating, and food. Portions are large so be careful not to order too much. There's a heater at each table to make you comfortable when dining out in the cold. Chingari veg restaurant has some amazing food - just ask the steward for recommendations, they're the best to go with. Live music is also nice, though a tad loud for the whole "forest" dining experience at Woods. Some soft instrumental music would have been better.

Few things could have been better: The wifi is terrible! The bonvoy network is firstly open, so if you want to do any work on it, don't (unless you have a VPN). It keeps disconnecting and in certain areas it is completely absent (e.g. it's there in the bedroom, but not in the washroom or sit-out - probably something to do with the router they've installed. Mobile reception is terrible as well. It's hard to believe that such a popular hill station has such poor mobile connectivity. Definitely needs improvement. You get 4G signal at the reception area, but that's it. Several "minor" nitpicks like the fruits they had in the room weren't sealed with a clingwrap but open, so kind of hard to tell if they were freshly put there or left over from previous guests. Mahabaleshwar being the strawberry capital, there were no strawberries in the room and not many strawberry options at breakfast or in the buffet. Prices of items are off the charts! Just way too expensive for Mahabaleshwar standards. We didn't even try the spa coz of the ridiculous rates.

Service is not great. Staff needs a lot of training. Send them to any Taj group of hotels to learn hospitality.

Beautiful property in the middle of the forest

The property is exceptional. It is in the middle of the forest, and the gardens and greenery around the rooms are excellent. The staff are amiable and attentive. It has a perfect spa, and the restaurants have good food.

The hotel feels a bit old. This reflects on the infinity pool and some parts of the room that could have better maintenance. Getting to the property may take time since the only way to do so is by car, and the road to get there is small and can have heavy traffic at times. But it's worth it once you get to the hotel.
