While the Hilton Garden Inn Albany-SUNY Area had some disappointing aspects, such as the absence of a pool that was advertised and limited gym equipment, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hot (Read More)el is located in a good area for dining and there are nearby activities like SUNY. The front desk staff provided fantastic service and the lobby and rooms were clean and welcoming. However, the location had difficult parking and some guests found the incidental costs to be high. Overall, it is a convenient option for those visiting Albany.

Very good

Expected better service and welcoming staff from Hilton

The best part was the lobby, very well organized and designed. Also, it was great that the hotel has a garage, not only parking lot.

The worst part was the breakfast. The food was delicious but not enough variety for grab&go, the main breakfast has to be ordered. That is good because its fresh and warm but it takes time for preparation. Also, we wasted more time dealing with the payment for it. It was included in our stay but the staff didnt see it and I had to prove it myself.

This reservation was suppose to be for the following night but when there was no availability for that night the system reverted me to that evening and i did not see till i confirmed. I immediatly called hotel but they only refunded $1. I did not use reservation but had to pay over $200 for it.

Exceptional

It is a perfect location and walkable to where my mother resides in an assisted living facility.

The staff exceeds in their personalities. They are all courteous, helpful and caring. I was always greeted with a smiling face. I will always stay here when in the Albany area.

I wish there was a pool. Thankfully, there was an exercise room!
