Great location for a quick trip to New York, but beds were very uncomfortable.

The location of this hotel is brilliant. You are a couple of streets from Bryant Park and New York Public Library, with most attractions within a comfortable walking distance. There are great transport links very nearby too (both subway and bus connections) to take you uptown and downtown. I honestly think the location is the highlight! The bathrooms were clean and spacious, and water pressure was good. Staff were also very helpful, kind, welcoming and friendly. We requested slippers and hair conditioner as these were missing and staff acted quickly on this which was great service. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas, and we really enjoyed the breakfast we had in the restaurant in the hotel, along with the complimentary daily water and warm cosy fireplace in the hotel lobby. We were on the 3rd floor and the noise from the road in the evening was barely audible, so great sound proofing!

Sadly the beds were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. They were far too soft (to the point that sitting on the edge of the bed you felt like you would fall off!) and you could feel the mattress springs poking you. I woke up with a back ache after the first night, and found it very hard to sleep during my stay sadly due to how uncomfortable the beds were. We were also a little disappointed by the room size; I think given how small the room is, having two single beds would be better than two double. It was a real struggle to have 2 suitcases open in the room and to move around without bumping into each other or the furniture. I think the headboards need to be cleaned down better too.

Very nice and cosy hotel, close to attractions. I liked the stuff and the service. Room was enough for a family of 4. We felt safe and welcomed. I would recommend.

Great hotel at a fantastic location

Fantastic hotel and great value for money considering the great location. Our room was decent size, with views to Empire State Building as advertised and very clean. Staff was fantastic. We appreciated the welcome and goodbye treats and the daily complimentary bottled water.

There was a fan noise in our room not sure if it was coming from inside or outside but it was a bit annoying. We eventually got used to it and it didn't stop us from sleeping, especially after a full day of exploring NYC

Clean and Comfortable

The bed was one the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever stayed in. Linens were extremely clean and good quality. The bathroom was a good size, and L'Occitane products were available. I liked that infused water and coffee were available in reception.

We stayed in a queen room, which whilst comfortable, was extemely small, and after five days we were glad to leave. There are no facilities in the hotel, except for a restaurant adjoining the hotel. The menu was limited and quite expensive. The lobby was constantly busy, and it took time to get the elevator.
