Gorgeous boutique hotel

Location was brilliant for an event at the RDS. But it is also only a 20 minute walk to city centre. Area was really quiet around the hotel when we stayed and we were able to get a parking space outside the hotel. The beds are so comfortable and the hotel has a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely stay there again!

Really enjoyed the breakfast, food was delicious service excellent. Very comfortable & will certainly be back, hopefully for a longer stay.

Beds were very comfortable

The room is basic for a 5 star. Shower pressure was very low and bath was too small. Room service was very slow at times.

The hotel was in a safe area.

When staying at the Dylan, one should expect a 3 star experience, maximum. The entry-way is sterile and lacks the charm you'd expect from a boutique 5 star hotel and even though we stayed 3 nights, the staff treated us as strangers and did not attempt to accommodate or greet us in anyway. The room itself was small in size. There was mold in the shower. The lighting in the room was so poor that you could not see at night, even when all the lights were on.

The food was horrendous. We owed our own family restaurant and I have to say we have a fantastic restaurant for the last 28 years and still doing fantastic and our restaurant is way above your standard. Definitely would not be dining there again.

What youd expect from a top level hotel

Essentially what youd expect for a 5 star hotel - room and service were great, the restaurant was nice if pricey - if youre looking for a top level hotel and arent put off by the price, its a really good choice.

Its a bit of a hike to walk the main Dublin sites, otherwise perhaps just a bit expensive for what it is really, though considering all hotels in Ireland are like this its not unusual!
