Superb

Nice host and good location

location was good for touring the city. It is located on a quite street and not far from lots of things to do

Carpet could have been vacuumed a little better but overall the place was clean. Smaller bed and shower than we are accustomed to sharing but comfortable and everything worked well.

Disgusting scary dirty

Nothing dirty. Power cut. Dangerous no lights on stair case Felt insecure travelling as a lady on own. Owner never answered calls or messages when I tried calling ref power cut. Only house on street with no lights. I expect a full refund. Left this morning without breakfast as felt very uncomfortable. My room had no garden view other than a yard with rubbish disgusting

Superb

Location was really good. I walked to the castle in 12 minutes and there were plenty of shops nearby. The bus service was fabulous and the number 10 picked up about 100 yards away and took us directly to the Royal Yacht Brittania. As my husband has a disability this was most welcome. The owner is a lovely kind and thoughtful person and makes sure your stay is special. Breakfast was as good as we expected from previous reviews, Haggis included!! Lovely and clean throughout, bed really comfy and cosy. Highly recommended.

Only thing I personally found was a bit of road noise but then I'm a light sleeper.

Christmas market stay

The owner was friendly the location was ideal the breakfast was adequate and tasty. Room was small but for the two of us it was OK. Tea and coffee was available in the room .Room cleaned everyday plus towels changed.

For us personally we didn't like the bed,the mattress was way too soft .we never complained because we were only there for 2 nights and some couples may like a soft bed

Very good

I was pleased to have an en-suite toilet and shower. The city is close and I explored on foot.

I enjoyed the breakfast which offered sufficient variety for my multi-day stay. The coffee was good. I particularly appreciated the attention and manner of the staff; he was most helpful.

The back yard, which was viewable from the breakfast room, needs to be tidied up and has potential for a sort of garden!!

Excellent value for your money and the host is very nice, friendly and cant do enough for you.

Breakfast was very good and the host was very friendly and amicable - even asking us if there was anything we would like when we finished our breakfast! The location was just a little further than ideal but still only a 25 min walk from Waverley Station. So all in all very good for the price.

Just the walk to and from the station but only because I had a problem with my knee!!!
