The Bruntsfield Hotel in Edinburgh is a lovely place to stay, located a bit away from the touristy areas but close enough to walk to various places. The Executive room was spacious and well-equipped, (Read More) although noise from other guests and a weak shower were drawbacks. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, with the only issue being lack of service in the restaurant/bar one day. Overall, a recommended choice for future visits to Edinburgh.

Superb

We enjoyed our stay very much!

Very clean, comfy bed, quiet for a city location, ideal location, front of house parking and an excellent breakfast.

Frosted glass siding door to bathroom not everyone's cup of tea, but not an issue for us.

Disappointing

I enjoyed exploring the locality, the hotel was not as convenient to access the train station.

The room was a great size and the bed was comfortable.

The availability of food and the menu choice in the evening was poor.

Decent hotel for a short holiday with your family. Bring dogs along!

Accepting guests with pets, hot breakfast is great, spacious room, good heating, welcoming personnel, sweetest treats for the Christmas Day. Additionally, lots of green squares nearby, Holyrood park, and city center in a walking distance (20-30 min). Buses to the train station go frequently.

The average price is always higher for us because we are traveling with our lovely dog, and most of the hotels (incl. this one) take a pet fee per night (even though they are already quite expensive), which makes such holidays much less affordable... The bathtub was not in great condition. Air circulation in the bathroom could be better.

Disappointing

Town was mostly good but by the time we got there at 15.30 on the Friday the bins were overflowing and didnt show it of

Breakfast! and the fact we could leave the car in the car park till 3pm, it did cost us 12.50 but I suppose thats reasonable Im the town.

Our room 216 was tired and in need of a deep clean, radiator was half cold and in need of bleeding, bathroom needs grouting and new silicon, windows are in bad repair. I know its an old hotel but there is no excuse for not being cared for and repaired. The restaurant failed to have us booked in so we walked to the town, its fair to say they did find space for us but after being let down with the booking we decided to go elsewhere, breakfast was very good and the best part of the experience.

Overall beautiful and luxurious Hotel, located very nicely.

Beautiful Hotel close to the city centre (walking distance) and located next to a huge park. The most comfortable beds and rooms Ive ever slept in. Great breakfast as well.

The rooms werent soundproof. I often woke up when someone was talking in front of the door or using one of the swing doors in the hallway which squeaked. But if you sleep soundly, this shouldnt be a problem.

Very comfortable and modern. Nice bar and bar staff.

We liked how comfy the bed was and the decor of the room. The room was very clean and modern and the tea cakes in the room was a nice touch. there were plenty of clean towels for use and a working tv. the location was really handy as it was a short walk into the centre but not being right in the centre was a good thing. The downstairs bar was really nice and staff in there were lovely.

the shower drain wasnt the best as we ended up with a pool of water collecting in the shower tray. One of the door seals in the shower had fallen off but my partner managed to fix this. Would have been even better if there was a bath available for use.

Very good

Position ideal for our family connection. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

Would have preferred to have coffee sachets rather than coffee machine but this is a personal preference. We upgraded our room but was disappointed there was no fridge.
