A quiet Christmas in The Maldives.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff who are super attentive and helpful, helping with anything they possibly can. I also personally like the fact that it is a smaller island so everything can be reached on foot. The views are beautiful of course because it's The Maldives. The water villa we stayed in was lovely and Jay maintained it beautifully throughout our stay. I like that snorkeling equipment is provided free of charge on request. The A la carte restaurants were great, especially charcoal lead by Nalin and his team. The drinks selection was good and premium brands were available, bar staff knew their way around cocktail making very well especially Asillo. The buffet dinner and lunches in Lime and Chili were average.

There was almost zero atmosphere in the resort at night. We stayed over Christmas and expected at least some Christmas cheer and fun in the evenings, however the lack of evening entertainment (bar a DJ some nights from 9-11) killed the vibe a little. I was expecting maybe some local entertainment/dancing/cultural performances. Also, none of the excursions included in the varu plan (snorkeling, stargazing cruise, sunset cruise) were running due to the wind (I know this is out of the hotels control), however with no alternative excursions and no evening entertainment sometimes the days felt long and dull.

Totally recommend

The variety of restaurants available, the cleanness of the resort and the friendliness of the staff. I appreciate the small touches the gentleman who cleaned our room daily made to our room. He was making shapes with the towels and always very friendly. Special thanks to Ali from the main restaurant, we had great conversations with him.

Nothing I didnt like tbh, but if I want to mention some points for improvement those would be: -Our butler was good and VERY responsive but I wished he explained to us all the events happening at the resort, I discovered one day before leaving that there are daily gym classes for example, I wish I knew that. He did refer me to the app but the app needs improvement as it isnt easy to spot any activities on it. The lady at the kids club is sweet but I wish she was a bit more engaging with children, it would make the club much more fun.

An incredible holiday of a lifetime.

Everything was amazing, the rooms were well throught out and the outside shower was a lovely touch. The staff were all helpful and looked after us so well. The whole resort was beautifully kept and in pristine condition.

The cost of any extra activity or food/drink that wasn't included in the plan was just too expensive.

The staff are super friendly and accommodating , there are plenty of activities. The Dj played good music. The manager was always present and attentive to the quality of service and guest needs.

The pool deck in the villa needs to be refurbished.
